The Zaunite Format is an unofficial Riftbound format created in 2025 by the Vazquez brothers. It was designed to provide a competitive yet accessible environment for players of all budgets.

The format allows players with smaller collections to build effective decks using primarily common and uncommon cards, while also challenging experienced players to compete without relying on expensive, high-rarity cards.

When the format was first established, several guiding principles were discussed. Our goal was to create a format that feels unique and strategically challenging while also restricting the possibility of seeing the same archetypes, creating a different style of play, and making the game more affordable and accessible.

Changes to the rules and the ban list will be discussed and voted on by a committee. Player feedback is also an important part of the process, and suggestions from the community are taken into consideration when evaluating potential updates.
